Science Festival
In line with the on-going collaboration between Liwa International School and Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), the school was invited – for the 2nd year in a row to take part in the Science Festival on the 10th of October 2012. Three classes denoted as “Class of the Month for September” took part in the Festival.

Training workshop organized by the Environment Agency, Abu Dhabi and hosted by Liwa International School
Liwa International School has had the honor to host the Sustainable Schools Initiative’s coordinators review meeting. The training was conducted by Ms Gayatry Raghwa - Deputy Manager, Environment Education, EAS, Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi. The meeting was open to coordinators of Al Ain Schools which are part of the Sustainable Schools Initiative.

Kagan Training for Liwa International School’s Teaching Staff
As a continuation of the Kagan training initiated by the school’s Administration in 2010, the LIS staff members attended Multiple Intelligences training sessions during the month of September 2012. The sessions were delivered by Mr Thomas Searls, a senior Kagan trainer.
