LIS students from grades 1-7 took part in the annual Enviro-Spellathon organized by the Environment  Agency-Abu Dhabi. 10 students were declared as Enviro-Spellathon Ambassadors 2010 for their distinguished performance.

We wish them continued success and contenment.

The “Second Liwa Exhibition of Environment-Friendly Student Projects 2010” was held in the school on Thursday May 20^th, 2010. The main theme for this year is ‘House Furniture’. Under the supervision of their teachers, the students of grades 4-12 have put together original projects out of 100% recycled materials. The hall where the projects were displayed is a replica of an actual apartment.

We are pleased to inform you that as part of the Zero-Hour Project Week, grade 3 students had organized a Market Day on Thursday 13th May, a fun-filled educational activity for all students. The market had face painting, henna, hand-made greeting cards, hand-made jewelry, toys, etc for the students to buy.

In addition to grade 3, grades 1 and 2 students also had an opportunity to visit the market and purchase the items of their choice.

All proceeds from the market were donated to the following Charitable Organizations:

- Al Ain Special Needs Department-Markhaniya Branch.

- Pediatric Cancer Section- Tawam Hospital.

- Animal Welfare Association.
